Copyright and repeat-infringer policy
Last updated 9 September 2026 · SynOct LLC
SynOct LLC respects copyright and expects TitanDash customers to do the same. This explains how to send a copyright notice, how to answer one, and what happens when infringement repeats.
Sending a notice
Send notices to legal@synoct.com with the subject Copyright notice. To be effective a notice needs all six of:
- Identification of the work you say has been infringed — a representative list is enough where several works on one site are covered.
- Identification of the material to be removed, with a URL or location specific enough to find it. “Somewhere on this domain” is not enough for us to act.
- Your name, postal address, telephone number and email address.
- A statement that you have a good-faith belief the use is not authorised by the owner, its agent, or the law.
- A statement that the information is accurate and — under penalty of perjury — that you are the owner or are authorised to act for the owner.
- Your physical or electronic signature.
A notice missing these may not be effective. We will write back and say what is missing rather than discarding it silently.
This page does not decide whether a use is fair, licensed or infringing — that is for the parties and, failing them, a court. It is not legal advice. Misrepresenting material as infringing can carry liability for damages under United States law.
What we do with one
- We acknowledge receipt.
- Where the notice is complete and identifies material we host, we expeditiously remove or disable access.
- We forward the notice, including your contact details, to the customer responsible, and tell them how to respond.
- We record it against that account.
We act on the narrowest thing that addresses the notice — where a file can be disabled, we disable the file rather than the site.
If your material was removed
Send a counter-notice to legal@synoct.com identifying the material and where it appeared, with your contact details, a statement under penalty of perjury that you believe it was removed through mistake or misidentification, your consent to the jurisdiction of the United States federal district court for your address — or any district where we may be found, if you are outside the United States — your agreement to accept service from the notice sender, and your signature. We forward it, and unless the sender tells us they have filed a court action we may restore the material in not less than ten and not more than fourteen business days.
Repeat infringers
- First effective notice. Material removed, account notified, notice recorded.
- Second. Material removed and a written warning that a further notice risks the account.
- Third. Account suspended pending review.
- Termination. We terminate accounts of repeat infringers. A notice successfully countered or withdrawn does not count. Deliberate or commercial-scale infringement can end an account at the first notice.
A terminated account keeps the export right in the terms of service.
Trademark and other rights
Write to legal@synoct.com describing the right you hold, the evidence, and the specific material. Same principle: act on the narrowest thing that addresses a substantiated complaint, and tell both sides what we did.
